nyc & alphabets

Detroit to NYC.

Sometimes you just need to break out of the normal daily routine & take life as it comes at you. When I saw that Trophy Scars was performing one of the most influential albums (of my life) “Alphabet. Alphabets.” in its entirety, I couldn’t resist going. Trophy Scars put on 2 sold out shows Saturday & Sunday at Maxwell’s to celebrate the album (the show was in Hoboken, NJ but stayed in NYC the night before). It was amazing to still see the passion they have for an album they wrote in an almost different lifetime (or stage in their lives), definitely a memory that will stick with me. I also made sure to pick up a copy of the album on vinyl. The 20 hours of driving over the 48 hour period of a rather short trip was rough, but worth it. You can’t always live by the book & sometimes you just simply have to do the things you want to do, otherwise, you will most likely look back on your life with regret. Moral of the story, go see your favorite band if you have the chance, visit somewhere you’ve always wanted to, take chances, don’t always worry about tomorrow (w/exceptions), live in the moment.

Oak Hill

Our riders Joey Savatgy, Dakota Alix, & Jordon Smith just finished up with Oak Hill this past week. Dakota had the 125 2-stroke (12+) overall locked down until some bike issues occurred, but still grabbed a podium finish & a couple top fives in his other classes. Joey took third in 250 A Mod moto one but decided it was best to sit the rest of the week out due to a shoulder injury (should be back to #armswag at MillCreek). Jordon took the overall in 250 Int Stk, along with two more solid podium finishes! Next up, the 2012 MillCreek Spring Classic!

Dakota Alix
3rd – Open Skill
4th – 250 Int Mod
5th – 250 4-stroke Mod (non pro)
18th – 125 2-stroke 12+ (w/a 1st/DNF)

Jordon Smith
