Rookie(S.) of the year.

Justin Barcia & Joey Savatgy have both been awarded rookie of the year in some of the most stacked classes in supercross history. We couldn’t be more excited to have these guys represent the Stheart lifestyle!

Barcia ended his season with two wins, five podiums, & several top fives. Even though he was unable to finish two main events (Anaheim 2 & Oakland), he walked away with a well earned 4th overall in his first 450SX season. Savatgy overcame several obstacles entering the 250SX West series. Early in the season he learned his team wouldn’t be continuing on after the supercross series, but this didn’t keep Joey from making himself known week after week. His consistently impressive rides paid off with an FMF Racing / KTM backed team for the outdoor season.

Congrats guys, looking forward to the 2013 outdoor season!

Millcreek / Two for Tucker

The Spring nationals have begun and it all starts at Millcreek. This is our first look at 2013, to see where riders stack up, and make a statement for what’s to come. Unfortunately injuries kept Jordon Smith & Dakota Alix from being contenders this past week, but Keith Tucker was ready to step up to the plate. The #641 claimed two championships (250B Mod & 250B Stock), definitely making a statement & starting the year off right. Well done, Keith!

Next up, Oak Hill.

Phoenix.

250 [west] / Joey Savatgy made his supercross debut last week at Anaheim 1, and that is where he left any of his newcomer nervousness. With top qualifying times and just a wheel short of a win in heat 1 (literally) against the likes of Eli Tomac and Martin Davalos, Savatgy made nothing less than a statement this weekend at Phoenix (Round 2). This is where Joey belongs and he’s showing to everyone that he has the ability to ride with the best. With a 9th place in the main & huge improvements since A1, we can all expect to see a lot more in the near future from the number 176.

450 / Riding a near perfect race, Justin Barcia takes the win at Phoenix this week. Making the move to the big leagues, entering one of the (arguably) most stacked classes ever seen in history, and proving himself so quickly… all we can say is, cheers to 2013 & beyond Justin!

The Winter Olympics (Mini O’s) have officially started as of Monday. Stheart riders Dakota Alix & Jordon Smith are on their game so far this week and we couldn’t be more pumped.

Dakota Alix stepped up to the A class after Loretta’s this past summer and it seems like he was prepared to make the jump. He improved in each of his motos from Monday to Tuesday, finishing 3-4-4-3 (4 classes).

Jordon Smith swept all 5 of his classes going 1-1-1-1-1. Not sure what else to say about that other than he’s looking good on that Honda. You can catch a video of him from Schoolboy Moto 1 (division 2) HERE

2013 is looking good.

Monster Energy Cup /

Justin Barcia took the top spot on the podium this weekend at the annual Monster Energy Cup. With a 2-1-2, Barcia showed us he is ready to take on the 450 class in 2013 with the likes of Villopoto, Dungey, Stewart, Reed, and the rest of the field.

Jordon Smith & our newest rider Keith Tucker made their debut on the big screen this weekend as well in the All-Stars class. Jordon looked fast on the new Geico Honda, posting the 2nd best time in practice behind Cianciarulo. Not getting the best start in moto 1 made it tough for Jordon, but he was still able to make it on the podium taking 3rd. In moto 2, Jordon got the jump he needed out of the gate but went down in turn one. Keith Tucker had some mishaps at the Monster Energy Cup, but you can expect to see him & Jordon tearing it up at the Mini O’s this November!
