Keith Tucker walks away from the 2013 Winter Olympics of MX with 5 championships.
Not only is the this the last big amateur national of the year, but also a first look at everyone getting situated with their 2014 ride. By the looks of it, Keith is digging his set-up. Congrats!
Hope for a speedy recovery from the rest of our crew, Jordon Smith & Dakota Alix. Get well soon! Photos courtesy of VurbMoto
3 titles & 5 podiums so far – our riders have made their mark during the Supercross portion of the Winter Olympics of MX.
DAKOTA ALIX not only won 450A, he also set the fastest lap time of the day on Monday. Unfortunately, after taking 1st in 450A & 2nd in 250A, Dakota was injured and may not be partaking in the Motocross portion this week. We don’t know the details yet but have heard that Dakota made a trip to the hospital due to a large gash in his knee.
EDIT: We’ve learned that Dakota broke his knee cap & will undergo surgery.
KEITH TUCKER won two titles (250B & 450B) so far and a total of 3 podiums! Looks like Tucker worked out all of the bugs during his heat races and will be a huge force in the B classes all week.
JORDON SMITH was removed from racing early on due to a huge crash that resulted in a broken femur. From some footage that surfaced, it appears that a rider in front of Jordon broke their chain and provided little to no room to move. Unfortunately, this was right before one of the bigger jumps on the track. Best of wishes to Jordon & hope for a full/healthy recovery.
Below is the painful to even look at x-ray and footage showing the crash.

A word w/ Jordon Smith about the Monster Energy Cup in Vegas.
From Loretta Lynn’s 2013 /
Jordon & Keith happened to line up next to each other, pretty cool seeing the helmets.
Keep an eye out for these new lids at the 2013 Loretta Lynn Amateur Motocross National this coming week. Our riders Jordon Smith & Keith Tucker will be repping these new Stheart / 6D / Shoei helmets done up by Flyin’ Kolors.
Justin Barcia & Joey Savatgy have both been awarded rookie of the year in some of the most stacked classes in supercross history. We couldn’t be more excited to have these guys represent the Stheart lifestyle!
Barcia ended his season with two wins, five podiums, & several top fives. Even though he was unable to finish two main events (Anaheim 2 & Oakland), he walked away with a well earned 4th overall in his first 450SX season. Savatgy overcame several obstacles entering the 250SX West series. Early in the season he learned his team wouldn’t be continuing on after the supercross series, but this didn’t keep Joey from making himself known week after week. His consistently impressive rides paid off with an FMF Racing / KTM backed team for the outdoor season.
Congrats guys, looking forward to the 2013 outdoor season!

The Spring nationals have begun and it all starts at Millcreek. This is our first look at 2013, to see where riders stack up, and make a statement for what’s to come. Unfortunately injuries kept Jordon Smith & Dakota Alix from being contenders this past week, but Keith Tucker was ready to step up to the plate. The #641 claimed two championships (250B Mod & 250B Stock), definitely making a statement & starting the year off right. Well done, Keith!
Next up, Oak Hill.
